Volunteers needed for Dance for Parkinson's weekly dance classes
Dance for Parkinson's Victoria is seeking volunteers to support and empower participants to reach their potential in our weekly dance classes. We are part of a national team rolling out a wonderful program that inspires, affirms and brings people together:
Parkinson's disease affects everyone differently; so we are looking for people who are patient, flexible, considerate, eager to learn and who enjoy movement and dance. Your role would be to participate in the dance activities (some seated, some standing) whilst offering encouragement and physical support when requested. Regular attendance is encouraged in order to build strong and trusting relationships and for you to build your confidence in this important work. You do not need significant experience in dance, just a love of dance. 3 hours per week during public school terms.
